Sorgente
sor·gèn·te — Italian
a spring
the place where water rises
unbidden from the earth
There has never been more access to knowledge.
It arrives with such speed that each answer brings forth new questions. Our relationship to thought itself has irretrievably changed.
And yet, somewhere beneath all the noise,
there is a deep silence that has never changed.
From this place, every real question arises,
the way water rises from the earth.
Sorgente is a gathering of those who have touched that silence and wish to listen together —
scientists and musicians, physicians and builders, those who study consciousness and those whose work flows from it.
It is not a conference. There is no stage, no audience, no doctrine, nothing for sale.
No one will ask you to be who the world believes you are.
The entrance fee is a beginner’s mind.
If this finds something in you, leave a few words.
First gatherings: by invitation, in small rooms, in beautiful places.
The Well
questions, risingEschatology is the study of the end of times.
One cannot avoid
even the most whimsical rumination.
End of times…
Or might it rather be
the end of our unquestioned rigid beliefs,
as we begin to see through their permeability
and begin to see their power to destroy?
“But what can one person do?”
Perhaps this: not add another answer.
The world is not short of answers.
It is drowning in them —
each one certain, each one armed.
Ten minutes in the noise is proof enough:
it is not people at war.
It is beliefs, wearing people.
So the rarest act left
is to set down a certainty
and offer a question.
Not a belief. Not a position.
A question — the kind that loosens
the ground it lands on.
What Bohm might call suspension.
Holding beliefs as gently
as one holds a small bird in one’s hand.
Dialogue
an experience of the space — a short meditation, in silence
it moves on its own · or scroll at your pace
David Bohm
physicist · 1917 – 1992He believed the universe is not made of parts —
that beneath everything visible
lies an undivided wholeness.
He saw thought the same way.
Not a private event — a shared movement,
a river passing through us all.
And a river cannot see itself
from inside a single drop.
dia · logos
Greek — meaning, flowing throughDialogue, as Bohm meant it,
has no stage, no leader, no agenda,
nothing to win.
Only suspension — holding a belief up to the light,
neither obeying it nor striking it down.
When many hold that attention together,
thought slows enough
to see its own movement.
And something no one carried into the room
begins to speak.
Dialogue is not something we make.
It rises from the space we keep open…
And out of that pure potential,
the way dawn comes out of night —
something like magic — something like peace —
a humanity finding itself again.
The dialogue continues —
with a single question. Yours.
“Who would you be
without your story?”

Drop your question into the well.
Let it float there in suspension —
free of the white-knuckled grasp that allowed
neither inspection nor evolution.
It floats now, in suspension.
Be watchful for the faint breeze of freedom that follows.
— place it in human hands —
